Lydia, Tripolis. Pseudo-autonomous Issue, time of Trajan. A.D. 98-117. AE 28 (28.26 mm, 13.50 g, 12 h). ΘΕΟΔΩΡΟС Β [ΕΧΑΡ] ΤΡΙΠΟΛ, laureate and draped bust of (Apollo? The Senate?) right / AY KAI TPA[IAN CE]B ΔAKIK-OC, Ares, naked, standing facing, head left, holding spear and trophy. Cf. RPC 2569 legends and devices match, similar youthful bust (but RPC says "Trajan"?) ; reverse similar to RPC III 2561.1 (16mm and shorter legend). VF, Dark green patina, surfaces somewhat rough. Unpublished?.
